Latest review: Harkla Compression Sensory Swing

Harkla was founded in 2015 by Casey Ames, and their headquarters is currently located in Boise, Idaho. Harkla began with the mission of helping people with special needs live happier, healthier lives. The company was built around the special-needs and sensory-processing community, with autism being an important part of its audience. Their products are designed primarily around sensory regulation, comfort, focus, movement, and sleep.
The Harkla Compression Sensory Swing is advertised as a play and movement option for a child who enjoys its snug fabric and gentle swinging motion. The research we reviewed does not establish that the Harkla compression swing treats autism, or reliably improves regulation, attention, sleep, or behavior. We would consider it for a child’s enjoyment and individual usefulness, not on the promise of a therapeutic result. Please click the link and read our independent review of the swing’s features, safety and setup, research limits, return policy, and who may find it useful. Autism Play Guide is a Harkla affiliate. If you purchase through a Harkla link on this page, APG may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This relationship does not determine our assessment. Our review reflects the available information and evidence, including the product limitations described below.
